ICQ-problems

Hi, jabber.earth.li runs fine here, but since 4-5days my ICQ-contacts were shown always offline after netsplit. I was online on buddies systems an chat runs normally. The transport is shown online, only problems with my contacts. I tried new connect for the transport, no results. Any tips? Regards Rainer

Downtime later today

There will be a period of downtime for jabber.earth.li today; I'm performing a major hardware upgrade (entirely new hardware and a move from x86 to em64t). I'll try and ensure the outage is as short as I can manage, but there's a lot of data to copy across so it could take a while. Where the heck did my pwd go?..

Hi, guys New here, so if I just *might* be missing something obvious. I have been using jabber.earth.li as (one of my) jabber server(s) for some time now (somewhere between 1 and 2 years), and recently (about a month or two ago) I started to get those password prompts. I had my password saved within the configuration of my Jabber client (Kopete, if that matters, though I don't imagine it does), so it was quite strange... ...What was even stranger, was that my password - was rejected! And still is. I have searched the mailing list archives and stumbled upon this: http://www.earth.li/pipermail/jabber-users/2007-April/000026.html Somebody had this very same problem, and, what's more, according to http://www.earth.li/pipermail/jabber-users/2007-April/000027.html: "My issue resolved off-list thanks to Jonathan McDowell :-)". Great. Now, how can I resolve my issue, which seems to be exactly the same issue?.. My JabberID is (was?) rysiek(a)jabber.earth.li. lost my jabber password

Hi I lost my password for grahamperrin(a)jabber.earth.li (More specifically, it's missing without explanation from my Mac OS X keychain.) Please, is there a routine for password reset? Or can one of the admins send me a new password? Sorry to bother! For ID purposes I can offer the following (from my Adium log of conversations): 14 July 2006 > 22:58:46 jabber.earth.li: Just a warning; kernel upgrade happening > in a couple of minutes so sessions will go down while that takes > place. and my earliest use of the server for active conversation was probably March 2006. MSN Transport registration

Hi there, I've just switched to jabber.earth.li on the recommendation of another user. I was just trying to register the MSN transport with my client (Kopete 0.11.3) and I keep getting: "Please wait while querying the server...". I can see the list of services and the jabber users service works OK, just can't register MSN transport. (Just tried: AIM and Yahoo! don't work, but ICQ-AIM does). Is there something that I'm supposed to do that I don't know about, or might it be down?
