XMPP-Registration fails with 403

Hi Everyone, I wanted to get a jabber-account on earth.li, but my client (Pidgin on Windows 7) throws a "403 forbidden" at me... On https://xmpp.net/directory.php jabber.earth.li is listed as public/free and has A-Grades in terms of Security. So I assumed I could register with my client. Is there any webinterface through which I could register? Is it a client-problem? Or are registrations disabled? Bad certificate chain

Hi there, I'm trying to connect to jabber.earth.li using Pidgin. It tells me that "The certificate for jabber.earth.li could not be validated. The certificate chain presented is invalid." There Pidgin bugs that mention not liking certificate chains that contain certificates signed using md5WithRSAEncryption due to md5 being insecure: https://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/15543 https://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/15486 Apparently, the certificate chain for jabber.earth.li uses exactly this algorithm for the CA Cert root certificate: http://xmpp.net/result.php?domain=jabber.earth.li&type=client and it's the root certificate that Pidgin doesn't like: (21:58:00) certificate: Checking signature chain for uid=CN=jabber.earth.li (21:58:00) certificate: ...Good signature by CN=CAcert Class 3 Root,OU=http://www.CAcert.org,O=CAcert Inc. 403 Registration not Authorized =)

Dear All, I was experimenting with XMPP/Jabber messaging, and I am finding that I am not allowed to register on jabber.earth.li -- 403 Forbidden =). Maybe registrations are locked down by IP-address ? May I be allowed to inhabit the earth, or at least the jabber server, despite having defected to the other place ? I'm doing a hardware upgrade on jabber.earth.li, so there'll be a few hours of downtime early on Sunday morning (probably at risk from about midnight until 8am GMT, but actual downtime should be much less). Ultimately, I've tried the bare XMPP commands in the XML console of Gajim. At most I can delete the transport as per XEP-0077[1] but I can't unsubscribe as per XEP -0100[2]. Is this enough to get rid of my subscription to your Yahoo gateway? If not, please help me unsubscribe properly...
