ALUG website

I just put 2 tips in the ALUG website, some stuff on disk usage using du and df (cos everyone should have em as opposed to Gnome/KDE specific progs), and also getting a USB CD-Writer to work. I also cleaned up the events page, putting the last two in the "past events section", and indeed the future events part seems a bit sparse! This is the automated ALUG IRC meeting reminder sent to remind you that there is an IRC meeting tonight (Monday) at 8.00pm. The meeting takes place on the irc server irc.openprojects.net in the #alug channel, you can take a look at www.openprojects.net to get more info on the openprojects network. Most IRC clients should allow you to get there with the commands "/server uk.openprojects.net" or "/server eu.openprojects.net" and "/join #alug". Diskspace usage-any good progs?

I'm looking for a nice program that displays how much diskspace is used, and how much is left on a particular hard-drive. Something like KDiskFree would be cool, except this is for a gnome-only system, and there's unlikely to be any room for KDE. du gives *slightly* useful results, but perhaps someone has a groovy set of command line parameters that would do this. Please respect mail headers.

Can people please respect mail headers when replying to posts to the list? My client (mutt) correctly inserts a Mail-Followup-To header that points to the list *and the list alone*, yet I've had at least 3 replies to mails I sent to the list this evening that were either to me alone or copied me and the list. Don't CC me on list posts. I read the list. It's my understanding that this should be default behaviour unless the poster explicitly requests otherwise and given that I explicitly request replies should go back to the list there seems to be no excuse. Debian testing testing, 123

I have a new installation of Deb 2.2r3. I wish to move it up to Woody (testing) via good old ftp. I have added the line: APT: :Default-Release "testing"; to my apt.conf file. I have used netselect to get the quickest ftp server to me, which is ftp.demon.co.uk. What exactly do I need to put on my sources.list file? When I do apt-get dist-upgrade I downloaded ssh and that was all?
