Is there any way of changing settings so that I only get one of these emails per day? Even with the digest option, I seem to be getting one every couple of hours! Dear all I think I've managed to get the right end of the stick about when this swim can happen - and sorry, I think it was me who started the cross posting, I didn't realise it was the Oxon address too. It looks like most people are going for Wednesday at Sonning. I'll be there, and it looks like Helen, Lindsay, Pam and Jeremy are available too. Where do we meet - they don't let cars like mine in the French Horn car park. Can I request a slightly later start time of around 6.50 - 7.00? Swimming between Pinkhill Lock and Eynsham tomorrow - the wetsuit gets its first outing! See you all Wednesday. I can only do Wednesday next week (or Thursday / Friday) for Sonning. I'd consider the weekend 18/19 for another section of the Mapledurham swim, maybe from Pangbourne? Mapledurham swim was excellent, Victoria, Helen arranged some very good weather. Hoping she can call in the favour again for the next swims! What a great swim this evening. Helen and Jeremy, thanks both for coming along and Helen for suggesting the date. The evening sunlight on the water was beautiful. Parking at the end of Wintringham Way and changing discretely at the edge of the recreation field worked well.The get out point at one of the ladders before Mapledurham lock was very convenient. Can't wait to do our next Thames swim, hopefully next week - we talked about doing Sonning to Shiplake again or doing the next stretch from where we were today, i.e. further along starting from the other side of Mapledurham lock. Helen, what days would work for you next week ? At the moment, the only evening I can't do is Tuesday. Sorry! Yes, I did mean it to go to everyone and it's just me being totally computer illiterate. I hope you enjoy the swim if you do go on the Pangbourne stretch. However, maybe we could do a quick Sonning swim next week? That way we could get in a bit later as it's nearer, around 6.45, and be out before it gets too dark. I've just bought a wetsuit and am desperate to try it out! Anyone up for that? Monday, Wednesday and Friday are free for me as is Saturday 18th September in the afternoon, and Sunday 19th in the morning. I've done the Sonning to St.Patrick's stream swim twice now, and it is lovely, so I wouldn't object to doing it again - but would be equally happy if someone has another idea. Given that 6pm is a fairly late start, since it's getting dark by about 8pm, a shorter swim with easy parking points might be an idea. There's a bit of faffing to get a car at both ends of the Sonning swim, though it would equally be possible to walk back along the Thames path to the start point, if everyone has shoes - which would allow for a much prompter start. Any other suggestions? cheers Helen
