heh, reminds me that i will go and play with the alug wiki website (btw /me likes wiki, already updated the FAQ once today!!) to point out that ppl are in #alug during the week not just on Monday nights, we may not always be talking but it could be useful for ppl to know.

I never knew that.... And I look forward to running through the scripts on the ALUG site ;)

Anyhow maybe i should write up a home networking, fileserving, firewalling, printing, etc. etc. HOW-TO at some point...

I've got into a habit at work of writing HOWTO's for every awkward (or not so awkward) problem we've had. It's saved our bacon a few times!
