Setting up nVidia GeForce 2 MX400

Now that I have been running Linux on my new PC for a few days I would like to try to set it up to use XWindows. When I installed Debian I remember it saying it couldn't recognise my video card (nVidia GeForce 2 MX400) and although I have sussed out I can now run XF86Setup to try and set up XWindows all the different selections of Card/Monitor combinations I have entered have failed, even the basic VGA. The only XWindows I can get to run looks like part of a 320 x 200 screen. If there are any ALUG members on the mailing list who have managed to get an nVidia GeForce 2 MX400 video card working with Debian 2.2r4 could they please let me know what settings they used for XF86Setup. The monitor I am using is an AOC Spectrum 7V which should be able to easily handle at least 1024 x 768. Thanks, Ian.

I'm not entirely clear on how the file/folder system works in here. Keeping in mind I'm used to using the OTHER OS, is it the same sort of structure? Where are the best/worst places to create folders so that I can remember where things are? Looks like user and home but I'd rather ask before I start trying to add folders etc... #2 - I see some programs (in a brochure that came with the user guide) that I supposedly have available to me but apparently I didn't load during the install. Can I put the install CD back in and load them now without going through the whole install again? Don't know if they'd be on the first CD or the Comm. Apps CD....hmmm......... #3 - In anticipation of installing Linux I began buying Linux Format mag and The Linux Magazine. The cover CD's, (and this more than likely has to do with my first question to some point) if I pop in the CD, then what? Will it automatically put things where they're supposed to go? From what I can gather not having tried it yet, there will be some other 'work' to do to get some of them installed too and they seem to give good directions. #4 - While reading through the user guide that came with my 'boxed set' and also a book called Teach Yourself Linux in 24 hours (yeah right! *g*). When they go through different steps on how to do things it tells me different commands to type but not where or what I should be in to type them!! It seemed a stupid question so I had my fiance try finding out in the books with no luck, so I'm asking. #5 - Have you dozed off yet? lol. There's way too much "space" around my windows. Is there some way to fix this within Linux so that I don't have to keep changing my monitor settings as I go back and forth with Bills product? OK, guess that's if for today. Hope they aren't silly questions......honestly I am researching but can't get to the answers fast enough, could be just a bit excited and impatient. Maybe. Kelly

I'd highly recommend an upgrade to Debian 3.0, I could then send you my XF86Config-4 file. (I have the exact same card). The driver you want is "nv", although you can get proprietary drivers from nvidias website (although debian 3 has apt-gettable versions), which uses the "nvidia" driver, and also (regrettably) patches the kernel (so you need your kernel source handy). I upgraded over the weekend from 2.2r3 to 3.0 using a dialup. (took friday night until I came home from pub, and sat morning). For the debian release details, www.debianplanet.org has a good collection of links and mentions new X setup tools. (I haven't used them, though). OK, with debian 3.0 released, I'm wondering if I should now change my default release in my apt.conf to "stable"? At the moment it's still "testing", and I haven't noticed any changes when I apt-get upgrade. Congrats to the debian developers, and the users that have supported debian (bug reports, just plain using it). What a complicated project, and only 2.5 months late! which php version

Hullo List, I installed php-4.2.1 last week by downloading and configuring the tarball, using the - - with - options. The system is still using the old version, however: php-4.0.6. Because I've upgraded postgresql using apt-get to v7.2.1 I needed to recompile php, you see, and so thought I may as well grab the latest version whilst I was at it. How does the system know which of the php's to use? If I brutally remove the v4.0.6 directory I assume php won't work at all. I feel like I've gone back a year in time, all this newbie fumbling about. Does my question make any sense at all? Thanks, Jenny.

Due to rather bad design of the mobo, I had them in slots 2 and 3. It hasn't been a problem... Interestingly, in Windows (which was my only usable OS at one point), the computer would simply reboot, much as Ian described. I just put it down to W98 being crap. I still think it's crap, though. ;-) I ran the test on each module in slot 3 and they worked fine, no errors. I tried them in their original configuration. The test got stuck.(actually test 7 did). Presently, I have them in slots 1 and 3. The difference in speed is amazing. Like, it feels like the difference between my old amd k6-2 400 Mhz 64mb machine compared to this one (Duron 750, 512 MB). I am actually truly amazed at the difference.The mobo manual doesn't mention anything about a slot 1 and slot 3 requirement. Did I say how much difference it made? I'm amazed. So I'll see how stable this is. This is my first boot. I had to do a manually fsck on one partition, but I'm hoping/guessing this is just from the previous time I booted and it just fscked it all up. drive seek error....

OK, looks like it wasn't my hard drive that was the problem... Yesterday, after hours of use installing on a new HD (hours due to net install), I booted up and it worked OK. I then rebooted at one point and LILO gave me:- ERR=2 Unrecognised compression format. Halting. Another reboot booted the kernel, but it had millions of Drive Seek Ready errors and DMA errors, then halted at INIT. I checked the cables (in fact put new ones in), and noticed that the hard drive was SUPER-hot). Leaving it for 30 mins, it booted OK. Does anyone think it may be overheating? Or poss a RAM error? I found xine hokey, personally. I found OGLE to be far more reliable in it's support for DVD's, menus, etc. But then again it doesn't play mpegs or avi's. Maybe try an older version of libdvdcss- for some reason the newest one doesn't work for me, but the old one does! Also, your DVD might need to be set rw, I can't play encrypted DVD's without it being rw for the user in question. Hope that helps. DMA and Bus Hogging?

Thanks for the info on DVD playing. I now have another issue for people to ponder... I have a SCSI CD-Writer and if I run digital audio extraction on that at the same time as trying to do something with the hard disk, programs trying to use the hard disk seem to be made to wait for the CD Writer, i.e wait until the end of the track being extracted, and in syslog I get a series of messages like this: Jul 21 23:04:29 pelvoux kernel: hdb: irq timeout: status=0xd0 { Busy } Jul 21 23:04:34 pelvoux kernel: ide0: reset: success My initial guess as to what is happening is that the SCSI card is hogging the PCI bus and preventing any commucication withe IDE controller. This is the second time I have come accross problems with things getting in each other's way - the other one was with video capture. In that case I thought turning on DMA so hard disk writes would be faster wold improve vide capture but actually resulted in many more lost frames than driving the hard disk in PIO mode. So, can anyone confirm from the little information I have here that this indeed a PCI bus sharing problem or suggest what it might be instead. Either way can anyone think of a software solution to it? Steve.

I remember a discussion at the last meet about playing DVDs and someone recommending Xine as a player. I have had a go at setting this up and it complains saying it won't play encrypted DVDs even with libdvdcss installed. Has anyone else got this working? If so what did you have do do? Steve.

AHA!

I am sending this from within LINUX!! Woooohoooo!! *bg* I had gone into the BIOS and made the first "boot-from" CD (It previously was floppy) in order to install from the CD's. When I couldn't get it to boot at all after the install (and it asked me to insert a non-existent floppy) I went back into the BIOS and changed to to boot first from the IDE and I am. Don't know if it was the right thing to do or not, hope someone tells me, but it worked and I'm now a happy camper 'cuz I can fiddle around with Linux the rest of this afternoon! I also had put the first CD back in before that and chose "Help" then picked re-install boot loader. But no, Steve, I don't know which one it uses (I'm guessing there's probably a way I can find out) it just goes along on it's own. In my reference book it says the two you mentioned, LILO and Grub but then tells me not to concern myself with it if I'm doing a 'recommended' install, which I did. Just off the bat, is there a way I can get another email address to use for Linux? I don't want to get my current mail here right at this point because of no HTML. Will get around to changing all that later. Steve- I'm in Caister (near Yarmouth)..... is there a "member" page on the ALUG site that I've missed where you could fill in this sort of info? I'm off to poke around **soo excited** and start my list of questions! Kelly

Heeeelp!

Anybody out there?? Hope so! It's me..Kelly...using an old hotmail addy for the moment. Did my install this morning, went smooth as far as I could tell. Got to the very end and I clicked "OK" to reboot. Supposedly I was supposed to get a choice of either Windows or Linux (If I haven't wiped out my Windows hd that is *g*). But all I get is a black screen with: MBR Error 3 MBR Error 3 MBR Error 1 Press any key to boot from floppy. As it zipped through the steps during the install it didn't ask me once to insert a floppy! If I click any key after the last bit up there I just get: 'MBR Error 2-Press any key to boot from floppy. I've got a number here somewhere that someone (would be nice if I could remember a name!) gave me in case of problems but will check back in email a couple times first even if I DO find it, lol. The cc's are to the only addy's I could find right now for ALUG, and ones I THINK I know. We'll see how close I get *g* Thanks! Poloshirts & Sweatshirts

I'm not sure if this is the appropriate list or should go on the social list, sorry if it's wrong. At work we've recently been in contact with a company in Dereham that does promotional logos on sweatshirts etc. Just out of curiosity I asked how much they would charge to put Tux and the words "ALUG Anglian Linux User Group"** on a garment. Assuming no copyright restrictions in using Tux, for embroidered artwork, they quoted £14 for poloshirts and £15 for sweatshirts with a minimum order of 10 garments, mixture's are possible (e.g. sizes and polo/s + sweat/s). 1st thanks for the advice on how to get my Canon S400 up and running at the last meeting. Lots of useful ideas. I still haven't quite got beyond the printer, whenever I print something, going through a couple of head cleaning cycles and then going back to sleep but I have uninstalled CUPS, installed a 'proper' copy of Ghostscript, and also PDQ and Magicfilter. I like PDQ, especially xpdq. I not sure that mf is giving me anything at the moment but I'm keeping it by, just in case :o). At present reading up on how fonts are handled within X, Gnome, Ghostscript, etc. because I'm pretty sure they aren't set up correctly. OK, to get the point at last. While browsing around the printing projects on SourceForge I came across Gimp-Print <http://gimp-print.sourceforge.net/index.php3> which seems to be one of the few that supports the S400 directly instead of as a BJC600. I've got hold of a copy and I'm going to give it a try. Anyone else ever used it? Hi folks, I got a new PC today and have been busy beavering away installing Linux on its hard disk and setting it up to dual boot. Everything seems to have gone smoothly apart from my ethernet connection (Realtek RTL8139). My routing table is as follows: Kernel IP routing table Destination Gateway Genmask Flags Metric Ref Use Iface 192.168.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.0.0 U 0 0 0 eth0 0.0.0.0 192.168.0.1 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 eth0 If I try and ping any other hosts I get "Destination Unreachable" errors: PING suzy.suseland.net (192.168.3.61) from 192.168.3.70 : 56(84) bytes of data.

Isdn anyone?

I've got ISDN at home which I normally access through my NT box as I've never managed to get it to work under RH7.2/Mandrake/Suse or others. My NT box self destructed last nite (well its 9 year old harddrive did) so I wish to get up on ISDN. I've hunted high and low for FAQ's etc but the only two I've found dont seem to work. blackbox automatic startup

Hi All, I want blackbox to start automatically when i run startx. I tried putting exec blackbox in various .xsession and .xinitrc files to no avail. So then I found myself trawling about places like /etc/X11/Xsession.d (in debian) looking at how variables are called, all very entertaining but I'm sure there is an easier way. Like "bbconf", except that didn't do anything either. Creating a file called .xsession in my home directory and putting exec blackbox in doesn't help. Help! Nothing helps! Any ideas? Thanks, Jenny.

Installing should not be too scary or such a big problem, especially as you have a new drive to put linux onto, there is very very little chance of dataloss etc. what OS are you going to dual boot Linux with? Windows NT/2000/9x? >>>Win98se Also if you do find it scary can you not make one of the Alug meetings where somebody will quite happily install (well try ;)) linux for you... If not where in the world are you as somebody could perhaps come and help you in person. Mail spool dir...

Hi everyone, Been a while since I last posted a question where the answer is probably obvious!! MTA is Sendmail... OK, whats the file limit in directories if there is one, just my mail spool directory is huge!! There's around 5500 files in there. None of the users have shell accounts all pop3.. I was wanting to know as I've just been informed that because "the powers that be" like the way the system works with so little downtime, we're going to bin Notes (about time too) and migrate another 3000 onto the system. The current Notes server only sends and recieves around 60k messages per day, so will take the Linux box upto around 90k messages per day. I want to stick with Sendmail as I know it better than other MTA's, just want to make sure Sendmail will not have any problems with this sort of use. Bandwidth isn't an issue (which is nice to say!) got a dedicated 4mb pipe for it... TIA Simon

Thanks for the helpful reply Raphael... yes it is Linux not DOS, I didn't realise that Sendmail can run in DOS... If it was DOS would I have posted to ALUG??? Please don't bother replying unless it's constructive.. I was simply enquiring if there was a per directory file limit as I believe there is a maximum file size limit... UDMA100 problem solved

The problem I was having, that my machine hung in the BIOS when I added a UDMA100 disk is now solved. My primary disk did not like co-existing with anything else at all. I discovered this when I got hold of another old-style disk *and* swappped the IDE cable. Remove the old primary - all is fine; put it back - only one disk can be connected. OK, I've read...re-read...checked...double and triple checked...read yet again..and have outrun the men in the little white coats with butterfly nets *g* Now, I think I'm well into information overload. So much so that I can hardly remember what I read or looked into on the net at the beginning. Much of what I've run into has been fairly basic which was extremely helpful in my case! But...there are many references to things having to do with Linux that I really have no idea what they're talking about and it starts becoming frustrating. So, I'm thinking of backing off for a day or two and then doing a quick run-through of the info I have, and then finally installing on Saturday. I d just like to know if I'm going about this install the right way or should I delve even deeper into this foreign world *g* before even attempting the install?? I hope the answer is no, as I said, everything is starting to blur together. I've backed up everything I can think of to back up as I've had to completely re-install my system twice in a years time and wouldn't look kindly to having to do it again. I've another question...will Mandrake show me the drive sizes so I know the difference between hda and hdb? The drive I have solely for Linux is 20GB, completely empty and as of this moment, unpartitioned. I can't stress enough how much help you've all been up to this point, and thanks for not sending me to the "Reassurance Lounge". Kelly

Run lsmod as root and check that the usb-storage module is loaded. If it is not then run 'modprobe usb-storage' to install it. You should be able to access the drive as a scsi device. ( /dev/sda assuming that you have no other scsi disks on your system ) Check in the /proc/scsi/scsi file to see if the USB device is now visiable as a mas storage device. > The next problem is USB. SuSE 8, Network server and outside interfaces.

Hi, Just installed a fresh copy of SuSE 8 Professional edition (I previously used 7.1 on main box and 6.4 on server), got Apache, FTP running et all, however it is only reachable by the internal network (eth0), and any attempts to reach the server from the outside network (ppp0) result in a time out. Trying from my main box inside the network results in the appropriate test page. I've checked inetd.conf, hosts/.deny/.allow, which all seem to be in order, and I am now officially stuck. Any suggestions as where to look next would be greatly appreciated :) Many Thanks, Emma

AFAIK some ISP's firewall off their customers to stop people running SMTP servers and the like that act as relays and get the whole network blacklisted (Demon?). Kelly - allow this all to soak up like a sponge without understanding it, and one day it will fall into place and become useful. There's no way it all falls into place at first. I do this with everything now, I flounder about just trying to absorb, and let it take its course. Then a year later I'll go "oh, *that* was what that linked library file stuff was about!". (Well, I have still to go like that in this particular instance, actually). The hda/b thing - I think it's pretty clear what the partitions are. Are you dual booting with your win computer? It's a pity you haven't got an old box to have a practise install on so you don't worry about losing anything important. Jen.

There are others which are similar but Freesco seems to be one of the most complete and simplest to set up. It has spawned an entire sub-culture of add-on program with people using the distro for many other tasks such as mp3 server, web server etc. Once installed it can be administered via ssh to get to the command line or a web browser to the control panel. I have it on a massively over-powered machine - a 50mhz 486 with 16 megs of ram and a hard-drive and it works very well although AFAIK it can be used with a 386, 8 megs ram and no harddrive. Have a look at the manufacturers' websites for info on the drives and possible utilities to set the bus speed. I had some fun with a couple of different UDMA100 drives last year. The first one I bought would not work on DMA33 (even with the 80 pin cable - that is another thing to get right but you probably know that although I mention it just in case). Exchanged it for a different make which worked fine. Digging around on manufacturers' web sites revealed the reason for this odd behaviour. The drive may be set to UDMA100 by default - in which case it is unlikely to work out of the box on DMA33. A DOS utility is used to configure it. Alternatively, a drive may be set to DMA33 at source and possibly not be running at optimum speed when used on a UDMA100 bus unless configured. HTH Syd

Backup Strategies

When making significant changes to an existing system (e.g. kernel builds or major software changes), what backup* strategies do you adopt to protect yourself from knackering the whole thing? I know this will depend a lot on what hardware is available but is there a commonly accepted approach? At the moment I've got enough space on another HD to completely duplicate the whole partition (apart from a small /boot partition the whole of my system is in a single partition). I've been using PartitionMagic to do this but, as it's a Windows app, I'd like to use a GNU/Linux approach. Any ideas? * 1st time round I typed this as 'buckup', it occurred to me that all I needed to do was change the first consonant and it would be a better reflection of the entire process. As someone thats worked with these products I believe it's more than me saying thats how it was for me. These things are all setup the same so if I wasn't restricted from running setup.exe from cd then it wasn't restricted however I will conceed that the original statement is partially correct the RM windowbox systems which is their peer to peer network for primary schools does stop you running certain things like poledit.exe without phoning RM with a key to which they will give you a password. UDMA 100, etc.

After my dodgy HD, I'm thinking of buying a new HD. My motherboard can only handle ata33, but I'm thinking if I invest in a new HD, I might as well get an ATA100 one and use it at the lower speed- I'll probably buy a new motherboard (&new CPU, etc) that can in a year or so anyway. kernel panic! Oh poo.

Today, as I booted my box, it said that the kernel was using the wrong compression format and halted. So I rebooted, and the dmesg came up with lots of: hda: dma_intr: status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error } Right at the end, we have: VFS: Disk change detected on device ide1(22,0) It booted, but some files just weren't there anymore. i.e. it had mount, but not umount. So I thought, bugger that, saved the dmesg, and rebooted. I was greeted with:- Kernel Panic! VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:01 It suggested to run e2fsck, so I did using a tomsrtbt rescue floppy. Fine. It 'fixed' a LOT on hda1. Reboot, Kernel Panic! no init found... SoI'm figuring that it's pretty much destroyed the data on hda1. Or, as I like to mount it, / Bugger. So I guess it's reinstall time for me, that way, I guess, I could possibly save /home . Or do people think it may be a hardware problem? Oh poo. It's possibly the easiest firewall s/w you cound ever use (i.e. takes about 30 seconds). Of course, a custom hand-written script is best, but to get a home connection going I'd highly recommend it. You'll need a 2.4.x kernel, though, as it uses iptables. Of course, it's a bit overkill on dial-up! I tend to leave mine connected from friday 6pm to monday 8am (as it's free), so I use it 'just in case'. Freeshell.org: woohoo!

I posted some time ago asking for opinions on freeshell.org's service. Well, the subject says it all really. I paid the $36 donation for ARPA membership, and I'm very pleased. They don't actually run Linux - they tried it but moved to Alphas for stability. They do have about 22000 users, so that's understandable I think. As they say, consumer grade hardware just isn't up to that. They provide PHP/Perl/CGI facilities, 100MB each for mail/web/home and SSH/SCP/SFTP. So I'm happy. Alexis -- "You got what everyone gets. I booted using tomsrtbt, and it seems my /home and /usr and /archive partitions are intact, just lost /bin, /sbin etc. In fact, the only thing on / is vmlinuz and lost+found! I highly reccommend having a tomsrtbt floppy/CD to anyone reading this. So I have a custom kernel-image .deb that I've retrieved, meaning that when I get Debian reinstalled on it, I can get my USB cd-writer working, so I have full back up (and about 20 backup CD-rs!). If so then you need to find the right .config file for it and use that as a starting point for your new build by copying it over the .config in your kernel sources. I've just rebuilt my kernel to include USB support and now my sound card has stopped working. I've searched for the error message on the web but haven't come up with anything much. I wasn't aware that I'd changed anything other than the USB settings (I used 'make menuconfig'). As I'm writing this from work I haven't got all the info to hand at present but I'm using the 2.4.18 kernel with ALSA 0.9.0beta12. (hmm... wonder if it would be worth seeing if there's a later release of ALSA? wonder if it would make any difference?) My sound card is a Creative Soundblaster 128 PCI (chip show up as an Ensoniq 5880 AudioPCI) and I've been successfully using the ens1371 driver. As a side issue my NVidia drivers also hiccupped when I rebuilt the kernel but were OK after I rebuilt the NVidia package. Should I have needed to do this or is there something else I'm not doing and should? We went out for two hours today and when we returned we discovered we had been burgled. Amongst other things the took my Lifetec PIII 233 laptop with 12gig drive and w98/Mandrake 7.2 dual boot, also my Sharp SL5000D Linux PDA that I showed some of you a few meetings ago and lastly a standalone Iomega 250Mbyte zip drive. If you are offered any of these cheaply or see something similar at a car boot sale please let me know. Ian

Printing from Windows XP via Samba

Hi, I've just spent the past three hours trying to get this to work... If you have installed Windows XP, and are trying to print to a samba shared printer, and getting an "Access Denied" message, the solution is:- Add the following to the printers section of smb.conf printer admin = <username> This can be a comma separated list of users The reason being is that XP port let you connect to any shared printers unless the user has admin rights on that printer. Just thought I'd share this, in case anybody else was getting as frustrated as I was! There have been alot of success stories with using the Linux Terminal Server project (www.ltsp.org) and the K12-LTSP distribution (www.k12ltsp.org) in schools and colleges. This basically uses any PC as the client that the students use, which boots over the network and all applications run on a pretty decent spec server. Education programs that still run under Windows can run under emulations like vmware, win4lin, wine, etc. Now that there is a excellent "office suite" in OpenOffice.org there hardly seems a reason not to consider it. I can't see why these can't be deployed in our schools, it would certainly cut down on the maintenance of client machines, leaving more time to educate the users. And can increase the use of PCs donated from local companies (once Windoze is properly removed) as the clients hardly need powerful processor or graphics cards. Any money saved on Windows licences can be put into buying one or more well-specified application servers to cover the whole school. Cheers. David.

What about if we started a kind of free summer school in computing for people of any age. We could give out free copys of Linux to the attenders maybe even charge a small fee that would go to the FSF or some other organization. i would be happy to help somthing like this out but i would never get round to doing anything if it was upto me. This would increas awarness of GNU/Linux by alot... its just a case of finding the time, people and a place. Free software and schools

Dont get your hopes too high: As far as I can tell theres only two MPs who can tell a modem from an elephant (Tam Dallyell and Chri Mole -Ipswich!). The goverment/civil servants combined with PFI seems to result in criminally stupid initiatives - how the hell EDS could get £600M OVER budget on a web page to collect tax information is beyond me. I've tried to get local schools to look at FS but there seems to be the problem with the teachers not actually wanting to learn anything. I dont know if you read the comment from an IT teacher who said it took several hours each week to mark multiple choice exams - Excuse me - your in IT automate it!! I dont do emoticons but there isnt one for the face I pulled at that one anyway! I think the only real hope is to lead by example -start/go along to the local computer club - when the kids discover what they can get for free to run on old pcs and with luck in ten years time there will be people out there who will go into business and make computersand software usefull for the customer not the supplier. Command Line Quota Tool

I was wondering if any one knew of an application to do quota editing (on 2.4.x kernels) from the command line the 'quotatool' package under debian only seems to work for the old 2.2.x style quota.user files and not the aquota.user files that 2.4.x uses. List breakage & IRC meeting tonight 8pm

Hi All, The list was down (well not down just all mails were put in a queue for admin approval) for a brief period earlier today, not sure how it happened but a regexp that caught all email and put it in the admin queue somehow got in there, anyhow normal service has now been resumed. And also.... its the IRC meeting tonight. Hope to see you online :) This is the (not so) automated ALUG IRC meeting reminder sent to remind you that there is an IRC meeting tonight (Monday) at 8.00pm. Suggestions and/or opinions please.... I've now got a stable GNU/Linux system (2.4.18) and I've installed XFree86 and added the NVidia drivers (can't remember the versions). So far so good. I've just finished installing Gnome 1.4 and Enlightenment and they work OK (more or less :o) ). I've come to loathe the Docbook system (see http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/docbook/) which Gnome seems to want to use. Docbook seems to have all sorts of pre-requisites, some of which seem to only be installable via RPM. I'm not sure I have it installed properly or if it's working at all!! but Gnome seems to be running OK so I'll live with it. Questions; 1) Is KDE any easier to install? 2) Should I consider moving Gnome 2? 3) Is Sawfish any better than Enlightenment (and why :o) ) ? 4) Before I do anything else I want to install a Web browser but which one? New association, possibly? *G* It's okay, I'm in, but spending the time straightening out Bills mess so that I can get down to installing a 'proper' OS. Or at the very least, trying to install and trying even harder to look extremely capable of doing so.
