Hi All
Bryn pointed out this morning that next Saturday is the biggest full moon in two decadeshttp://uk.news.yahoo.com/38/20110309/tsc-world-to-see-biggest-full-moon-in-tw-98fda55.html
and even better I've discovered it is full over Oxford at 18:10 and rises at 18:28.
Which makes it perfectly timed for an early evening viewing from the water!
So I'm planning to park at the Walton Well Car Park between 18:00 and 18:15, then walk up the river to our starting point this morning. Then I'll have a pleasant brief swim back to the bridge admiring the moon across Port Meadow.
If anyone else happens to be doing something similar that would be great!
Cheers Bob
Could well be interested but won't know until later in the week. We may be off down the south coast to buy a (kayaking) wetsuit for partner.
Would not a somewhat later start be better? Sunset won't be until 18:16 and the moon might be hiding behind the dreaming spires. Given I may not be there its a bit of a cheak I know.
Regards Andrew

Hi - earlier is better for me, and would love to do it. But understand may be better a bit later - we could compromise and aim to meet at 6.30? Really lovely to meet a few people this morning and have a dip - looking forward to many more. Louise On 12 Mar 2011, at 15:00, Andrew Sansum wrote:

Hi there,
I am just recovering from 4 days in Hell it seems with awful Viral infection, haven't felt so bad and sorry for myself in a long long time...anyway, I was really gutted to miss the swim with Bryn on Saturday so crossing my fingers, I would love to join you guys for the full moon swim on Saturday. Where exactly did you intend to start from at Port meadow? Jenny[?]
