I want to put a laptop at a remote site and use it as a wireless bridge. Because it's at a remote site I would like to be able to ssh in to it. So my question is how do I set a password for the root user (ether permanently or at boot) so that I can log in to dropbear?
Thanks tim

You can set the password with the 'passwd' command as normal. The hashed password is saved in /etc/passwd, so you'll need to back this up to the floppy after you've set it and restore it on startup in your boot.sh script.
