Hi,
Wondering if sisela could recognise my system with multiple 3com cards.
I am quiet news in this area, therefore I request some help.
I don't kwow where the problem might be. Is it either the system, sisela or
whether I must do some tweaking.
My system is an old P75 with 32M, no hard disks (purpose of the router) and
I inserted 4 network cards. But there is only one that runs.
Is it worth to use sisela with this config? or the system by itself is not
capable to run with multiple network cards. (Maybe I am lacking some network
know-how, but I thouhght a pc with multiple cards would run and recognise
the different cards.) Is it somehting I should do with the bios here ??
Thanks for help.
Jorge

hi, i've got an interesting one here....
firstly, booted up Sisela last night and it looks great. runs with no
probs whatsoever on my nasty old toshiba satellite PI 90mhz that im
going to turn into an AP...
thing is, im on dialup here... ugh...
so im going to need to compile ppp in... how do i go about doing
this?... i presume i'll need to recompile the kernel - is this all i'll
need to do? and where/how should i add a dialer - could i use wvdial or
something simple?...
once i've done this, i'll also need to set up some kind of internet
connection sharing... the grand plan is that i want to sit in the next
room and have the nasty old laptop connecting with my external (serial
port) modem, and link up to it by wifi. i presume this is going to be
pretty much straightforward with Sisela, as its designed to do this sort
of thing... (couldnt be more difficult than trying to set it up under
win98, urggghhh...! at least here i can actually *find* the config files
to edit!)...
any help or suggestions would be muchly appreciated...
thanx
m~

Hello All, I'm trying to setup a Access Point. Reading the iwconfig howto it
looks like the mode should be Master?
Is this the right setting?
Thanks, David
Hello All, I'm using a orinoco gold PCMCIA card and it doesn't show up when
I used iwconfig. Do I need to run a cmd first to detect the card first?
I would like to make a Access Point.
Thanks, David
