Can you recommend some good spots 'out of the flow' on the Wye. I live in Cheltenham and like swimming in the Wye, but have only been to places like Symonds Yat. and The Biblings.

Happy New Year to everyone and yes I am up for swimming every month whenever I can.? Boxing day I had a 40 mins dip in the river wye, out of the flow, not a real swim just paddle about without a wetsuit ofcourse and then on the 2nd Jan another 30 mins at the same place. ? Regards All Anne

Happy New Year people,
Should anyone have made the wonderful resolution to swim every month of the year I am happy to say we will be continuing down the Thames from Oxford recommencing in a couple of weekend's time. All are welcome, we still have a way to go...
Aren't we lucky to have such a river? So we can safeguard our future rights to river access, currently up for grabs in the Government's new initiative - "A New Era for the Waterways", can you take a minute to sign this e-petition asking that access should be at the heart of any new drive:
