Image viewer offered for Writer files puzzle
When I get a document attached to an email (.doc or docx it doesn't matter) the only application I am offred to open it with is Image Viewer. Is there a way of changing this? I've looked at Image Viewer and Libre Office and there doesn't seem to be a way of stopping this. Ideas? Bev.

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hi Bev, Ok, fired up the same config. I'm assuming that you're using Nautilus as the file manager. Try this: Right click on a doc or docx file. Select "Properties" Select "Open With" tab Either select writer (if it's a recommended app) and click the "Set as default" button, or click "Other Applications", select Writer and click "Set as default". Or, as I've just discovered, you can go to Other Applications and get it to 'Forget Association' with Image Viewer or Gimp. (No 'Set as Default' option.) Solved, anyway. Bev.
