as i have documented on the pages the primary serial port is not connected
and the second is connected to teh IR keyboard phillips chip.
The modem appers to be attached to the podule space in some way, that 
"bodge" resistor appers to set the simple io podule identifier bit 7 in
some way. Thge modem chipset will probably apper as a serial uart alike
but as yet i havnt got any data in the chipset.

If all you want is a serial port see teh mods on my hardware pages, i have 
added a serial port to the unused primary port directly attached to the
super io controller. Click on teh iamgemap on the hardware page for details
