I had great fun trying to solder wires to the superIO chip, unfortunately I
was away from my workshop at the time and so didn't have a small enough
soldering iron and managed to solder together three of the IC legs :-( I did
manage to unsolder them in the end but it took a good hour!

Yes, all I want is a serial port BUT :-) on the RiscOS side I have very
little knowledge, I got rid of my Archimedes (and manuals) many years ago
and I can't rememeber much of it :-(

Do you if it's possible (easily) to make the box use the serial port (on the
SuperIO chip) instead of the modem?
