Hi all, Just realised I won't be able to make Syleham on Sunday, - brother's housewarming party. My favourite venue, as well. Enjoy, Jenny

Never mind. Looks like it will be a fairly quiet meeting anyway. If anyone has any requests for help, lifts to, or subjects to discuss feel free to post them to the list. I will be at the venue from around 1:00pm and will open up the bar if required. I have a Linux newbie coming along to see "all this Linux stuff is all about". I will bring an old spare box to install some distro on (maybe latest SuSE if anyone has a copy on cd or dvd). Also it has been mentioned elsewhere, either on this list or on irc that a discussion on copyright issues surrounding books, education and other matters arising would be a good idea. I would also like to hear something about sotware patents and the possible implications if they are forced upon us. Cheers, BJ

I will be there with a laptop, hopefully with GNUstep on it and possibly some other hardware to get working. I'll have Morphix LightGUI and goboLinux CDs with me. I will bring as much detail about copyright, restriction technology and the current software patent situation as I can lay my hands on. I may bring a working library system install for testing. I may not arrive until 2 or later because of picking people up at Thetford station (unconfirmed, so anyone else can ask yet). Go on, stick a http://www.alug.org.uk/meetings/cards.ps.php?loc=MID in the window. -- MJR/slef My Opinion Only and possibly not of any group I know. I plan to be there and should have Tony Anson with his debian box (hoping for some advice on using it). No other requests for Norwich-area lifts required yet - anyone? Syd

Knoppix could be useful? I'll try and remeber to bring a copy although I don't have the most recent version. Syd
I will not be able to make it to Syleham this Sunday because my car is badly broken :( and I also appear to have something approaching flu at the moment :( Adam -- jabberid = quinophex@jabber.earth.li AFFS || http://www.affs.org.uk/ || Not a filesystem
