Any thoughts on installing Karaka on jabber.earth.li? Only just found out about it today, it's a Skype transport for XMPP servers. http://www.vipadia.com/products/karaka/ It's not in Debian, possibly partly because using it requires compliance with the Skype API terms: http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/legal/terms/api/ Best, Richard -- -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Richard Lewis ISMS, Computing Goldsmiths, University of London Tel: +44 (0)20 7078 5134 Skype: richardjlewis JID: ironchicken@jabber.earth.li http://www.richardlewis.me.uk/ -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- +----------------------------------------------+ | Support open access to scholarship | | http://freeculture.org/ http://www.doaj.org/ | +----------------------------------------------+

My understanding is that it needs an instance of the Skype client running for every active user. If someone wants to pay for a suitable cluster to run these on I'll consider running the transport. ;) J. -- "Have you noticed that this place is full of theology students who don't believe in God, computer scientists who can't program, English students who can't write and philosophers who can't think?" -- Simon Cozens, ox.talk
