Primary lymphoid tissue
The primary lymphoid organs are bone marrow and the thymus. They are where lymphocytes are produced.
Secondary lymphoid tissue
This is where lymphocytes mature and participate in immune reactions. Examples of secondary lymphoid tissue include the lymph nodes and spleen.
