Lymphocyte

Small mononuclear white blood cell present in large numbers in lymphoid tissues and circulating in blood and lymph.

There are two main types:

B-lymphocyte
(aka B-cell), which originates in the bone-marrow.
T-lymphocyte
(aka T-cell), which originates in the thymus.
