sortdu is a small perl script to sort the output of du -sh
Look, it's just a small script that I find useful...
:-)
It adds up filesizes (well no, that's a lie - it uses du -sh to add up filesizes) and then sorts them putting the largest last so you know where to begin your filesystem pruning.
There are arguably nicer tools (see xdiskusage) but they require libraries and X. sortdu requires perl and a du that understands the -h argument and Works For Me (TM).
sortdu is distributed according to the GNU General Public Licence and was written by Simon Huggins.
