Hi
I have a old p133 notebook with a crashed windows installation that don't allows me to boot up normal or in safe mode. I wanted to backup some files through ethernet and after searching for a one-disk-linux-system with pcmcia support I found sisela. The Ethernetpart works well if I use everything out of the package, but to gain access to the disk I want to backup I downloaded the config file from the page and throw out all the nic modules I don'T need and added the old ide driver (the old ones because it needs less space). If I build the kernel , copy it to the disk and boot from the disk the system crashes when trying to load the iptables modul (something with "unable to handle kernel paging request at adress ....")
So I tried leaving out the iptables completely of the kernel (well gives some unresolved symbols when booting but I don't need iptables anyway). the hard disk access works fine but I can setup the nick, give it an ipadress but somehow it isn't activated  properly. (the adapter displays no link) but the device is up...
can anyone help me ?
