Hi all,
Just a reminder that this Sunday is the Big Jump. We'll be taking the plunge in the Isis at Port Meadow at 3pm. The weather is too good, and the place is perfect so do come along and bring all your friends and relations, dogs, cats and goldfish, some pop and a pie. (Actually, yesterday we saw a beautiful blue kingfisher there so maybe don't bring the
cats). Instead, bring sun lotion and flip-flops and maybe a rug to sit on.
We'll be meeting at 2.30 at the Walton Well Road car park.....

There's a nice calm 'pool' of water for people to play or float in, or if some want to have more of a swim it's perfectly possible to get some speed up, up and down river, lots of good jumping spots, and plenty of space for sitting and sunning.
Please forward this e-mail to anyone else you think might be interested.
Looking forward to it!
Sef
(Usual terms and conditions apply - always read the small print: Simple caution: swimming, like crossing the
road and going hiking, can be dangerous. Everyone attending an OSS Big
Jump must be a member of the OSS (sign up on the website) and have
agreed to the terms and conditions of our Swim Responsibility Statement.
This basically means that you understand that there are risks to
swimming that include death and you are responsible for managing your
own. With the freedom swimmers have to swim outdoors, comes the
responsibility to look after ourselves and not place that burden,
practically or legally, on anyone else, including the OSS and all the
volunteers who work for it. All OSS social swims such as the Big Jump
are peer swims, with no water safety.)
