You will recall this new (proposed) bill which says, in essence:
1. If you have encrypted info on your hard disk you MUST, on demand, supply the key. 2. It is up to you to PROVE you don't have it if that is your claim. 3. If you tell anyone that you have been asked to supply it you are liable for up to five years bed and breakfast.
Well, apparently some civil liberties group has sent Jack Straw an email with an encrypted message which contains details of a crime that has been committed. They then destroyed all copies of the encryption key. Now they intend to tell the police that he has this info.
Subtle, huh?
