Hey all, My name is Richard. I'm new (duh!). I am slowly moving my workflow over to linux. Currently I am using SUSE 8.2. I am trying to work my way towards Gentoo (If anyone has the CD's for gentoo, I'd really appreciate a copy, just a name a price for cd's etc). My main use for computers is 3D modelling and 2D image editing, in september I am starting a Games Design degree at the Norwich School of Art. Does anyone else at ALUG use any form of linux as part of their 2D/3D workflow?

I use it for circuit design and PCB layout i.e 2.5D Ian

And if you got Knoppix CD around and a nice bandwidth.. install Gentoo via that instead. I just did and the system was up and running within a day ;) (Note: I switch on SSH in Gentoo so that all packages I needed can be installed) C
