Went into terminal and tried suggestion and as many options I could figure - nothing, just got messages like 'invalid device requested' 'selected disk doesn't exist' 'error while parsing number' Does Terminal = Bash shell? or do I have to be somewhere else for the grub console - if so where please. You need to be at the grub console not the bash shell

Type grub and press return to get to the grub console and then follow Paul's instructions
