[ALUG] Mint Issues

Hi All I've come back to the Linux fold, mostly because I'm developing in Java again. At the recommendation of a friend of mine I've installed Mint Linux 12 (Gnome) and I really like it. However, at what seems like random intervals I am unable to click anything. So I can't change between applications, I can't scroll scroll bars, I can't pull down, menus, etc. I can move the mouse and I can turn caps lock on and off. I'm running on a 2007 Think Pad T60.
