FWIW I've just hit this and added: audiocodec ffamr format 0x726D6173 fourcc "samr" dll "amr_nb" to the bottom of /etc/mplayer.conf and now have sound from the few .3gp files I have to test with at present. (I also did the "format 0x33363273" under the existing "videocodec ffh263" section thing.)
