Outdoors

I love being outdoors, enjoying fresh air, open water, and exercise. My primary activities are storm chasing and outdoor swimming, and I've done quite a bit of SCUBA diving. I've reviewed places I've dived and place I've swum, the latter small but growing, and I've written some brief articles on interesting places I've visited during my various travels.

Weather

I've been fascinated and thrilled by weather for as long as I can remember, particularly thunderstorms. I chase storms in the USA, having logged two training chases with Silver Lining Tours, in 2006 and 2007, chased independantly on my 2008 and 2009 chase trips. The USA is unmatched in my experience as far as the biggest easily observable storms are concerned.

Photography

I get a great deal of enjoyment from taking photos, and like to mix this hobby in with both travel and everyday life. A few of examples of my favourite photos can be seen in a gallery with my comments, and a more extensive and far less selective set is in my Flickr gallery. I've also written brief end-user kit reviews of photographic equipment I actually own and use on a day to day basis.
