Kristine Kathryn Rusch - The Fey : Changeling (Orion (Millennium))

ISBN 1-85798-484-6 (paperback 1-85798-487-0).

First published in Great Britain 1996.

This is the second book in the Fey series, a sequel to The Fey : Sacrifice. I didn't enjoy this one quite as much; the strangeness of the Fey has worn off, and the new elements of the story don't seem to be enough to sustain the interest aroused by the first book. It did seem that this story is being stretched out rather unnecessarily.

However, if you enjoyed Sacrifice, it's certainly worth reading this one. Characters and ideas introduced in the first book are developed further, but always within the consistent framework established in Sacrifice. I've been reading some really badly-written books recently; and they've made me appreciate Rusch all the more!

The next book in the series is The Fey : Rival; it's in the city Library, and I'll be after it as soon as the library opens after the Easter weekend.

10 April 1998

Other books I've read by Kristine Kathryn Rusch are Alien Influences, The Fey : Sacrifice, The Fey : Rival and Heart Readers.
