No text shown in flash7 under mozilla firefox

I have had a problem where flash wasn't showing any text on menus in the flash, or in the flash settings app.

I am running debian, and it appears that the solution is to install gsfonts-x11. This then provides the fonts that flash uses.

Perils of embedded devices

It appears that some types of Netgear home routers are flooding network time servers. There are all sorts of issues here, but it does show exactly how many of this sort of item get sold, and the problems that even legitimate(ish) traffic from a few hundred thousand machines can cause problems.

At least Netgear are working towards a resolution, even if distributing a fix to the customers will be next to impossible.

LazyWeb!

Yay, I have been involved in the LazyWeb. Have a look at this Index plugin for Blosxom. Seeing someone else in need of it persuaded me to package my code slightly more neatly so that it could be released.

I added a few more features to make it more general, and might have helped at least one person.

Old Email

When looking round some directories yesterday I found something I thought I had lost forever. My email logs from my first 6mths at university. It was also the first time I had email, so there are a lot of rookie errors in it, and there are a lot of the embarassing "hI im Sooooooo!! durnk" style emails that emenate from students.

A good time reading it all, remembering what I was doing at the time, and who with. If there was no other reason for keeping your old email, the chance to spend an evening reading it would be enough.
