The SuperIO chip (PDF spec sheet at http://www.earth.li/~noodles/bush/
along with the spec for the CPU and a bad image of the innards) has 2
serail ports; I think the modem hangs off one of these so it should be
possible to just cut the track from the modem and divert elsewhere. It's
pretty fiddly though - I don't trust my soldering skills enough to be
able to run wires from the chips to extra connectors.
