I don't see any reason you shouldn't per se, but I'm not sure if this is
the best approach. Might it not be preferable to maintain a webpage with
information under the headings you've listed?

I'm aware of a drift towards forums and hybrid systems like Wikis, the
chief benefits of which appear to revolve around not having to bother
collating, updating and presenting information - the results always seem
to give away this lack of effort though.

I'd be quite happy to help maintain this - Noodles, perhaps you'd like
to assist and/or host?
